Nic and Karl bought their Elddis campervan in 2021 – a Signature retailer special edition version of our Elddis Autoquest CV80, from Tyne Valley Motorhomes in the North East.

The couple, having recently become a family, with the arrival of Archie, were no strangers to vanlife.

Back in October 2016 they bought a VW T5 panel van and converted it themselves into a campervan. They eventually had a pop-top fitted and had lots of good adventures in it. However, with their family growing they decided they would like a bit more room - which is why they went for the Elddis CV80.

Leila, the family’s much-loved dog, absolutely loves campervan life. She is a really big part of the family and they would never go on holiday without her, so finding dog friendly places is the best thing for them.

Since driving away from the dealership, the family have enjoyed holidays and getaways galore in ‘Betty’ – and Archie is growing up, with the campervan being a huge part of his life.

It came as no surprise that, when Nic and Karl got married in the Summer of 2023, they hit the road in Betty for a 3-week adventure Honeymoon… with Archie and Leila on-board!

The family explored Europe’s mountains, with epic scenery at every turn – and camper-friendly spots to overnight. This was peak Travels in Betty – and the family were loving every minute!

The Honeymoon took in the delights of France, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Luxembourg and Belgium – and since their return, the family have wasted no time in packing in more weekend adventures closer to home!
