Gender Pay Report

At Erwin Hymer Group UK Ltd we are striving to build an engaging, inclusive, diverse and supportive place to work.

Erwin Hymer Group UK Ltd is part of the larger, European-wide Erwin Hymer Group, which in turn is owned by the American RV giant, Thor Industries.

Our UK manufacturing plant – home of brands Elddis, Xplore and Buccaneer - is one of the largest caravan, motorhome and campervan manufacturers in the UK. Based in Consett, County Durham, we have a rich heritage of leisure vehicle design and manufacture, spanning nearly six decades and we are proud to be the largest employer in the area.

Our multi-award-winning, UK-built caravans, motorhomes and campervans are sold exclusively via our network of retailers and we pride ourselves as being leaders in the leisure vehicle industry.

According to The Office for National Statistics, there are more male than female employees working within the UKs manufacturing sector. At Erwin Hymer Group UK Ltd, women make up 16% of employees. We recognise the need to act as women are underrepresented in all areas of our business.

Erwin Hymer Group UK Ltd aims to attract more females to the UK manufacturing sector and in particular the Leisure Vehicle manufacturing industry. We are focused on including more females in our succession planning activities and will improve our recruitment processes, reducing selection bias and creating a fairer process. We will work closely with our external recruitment partners to best ensure that our employment opportunities are attractive to all and are free of bias.
