Meet The Hoopers: Chris and Sam, Callum and Jayden – plus Rosie, the adored family dog, adventuring through the UK and Europe in their Buccaneer.

Together, they are ‘Caravanning With The Hoopers’ and, with over 16,000 followers on Instagram, show us all just how smooth sailing a Buccaneer family adventure really is!

Though currently proud owners of a brand-new Bermuda, this is not the Hoopers’ first Buccaneer. The family previously enjoyed the Buccaneer Aruba – the perfect layout at the time, with the highest levels of specification. But, as the Boys got older, and Rosie, their rescued Greyhound, joined the family, switching to the Buccaneer Bermuda was the smart choice for the Hoopers.

The new-style Buccaneer range – the Hoopers’ new Bermuda included – boasts a completely revamped bodyshell, with smooth, sleek lines.

The Hoopers chose the Buccaneer Bermuda layout for its spacious lounge and separate rear bedroom, with flexible en-suite bathroom amidships, ensuring privacy for the whole family.

They tow with a VW Touareg, which enjoys regular pampering and detailing along with the Bermuda!

Chris’ favourite features are the E&P LevelSystem automatic self-levelling system, which ensures their Bermuda is spirit-level straight and steady at the push of a button – and in less than 2 minutes. Now, who wouldn’t love that?! The underfloor heating is another massive plus for Chris.

The optional Air Con for the family’s own comfort - and for keeping Rosie cool - has been a wise investment. The Wi-Fi is a must-have for teenagers, and everyone loves the canopy for those sunny evenings.

One of Sam’s favourite features is the bedside cabinets for their morning coffee. Sometimes it’s all the little things, the attention to detail, which make a good experience truly great.

One of the best accessory buys has to be the stylish CADAC Citi Chef 40, in super-cute Sky Blue. Connect to Buccaneer’s external gas barbecue point to rustle up mouth-watering alfresco breakfast, lunch and/or dinner. Sunny-side-up, all day long!

So, what does it mean to the Hoopers to be caravanners, and Buccaneer owners at that?

Chris and Sam told us: “It enables us to visit places we’ve been never been to or wouldn’t have likely gone to without the caravan – and to do so enjoying a level of luxury and tech that we all appreciate.

“Our Buccaneer enables us to have quality time as a family. Traveling around the UK and Europe allows our sons to experience different places. It’s great for them to explore and adventure in a way that just wouldn’t happen on an ordinary package holiday.

“We feel pioneering and we’re creating adventures – and memories – tailored to each of our wants and needs.

“Having our Buccaneer benefits Rosie hugely, too, because she is quite anxious without us and wouldn’t cope in kennels. So, we get to take her everywhere with us, which she loves. We’ve also been able to take her on some lovely long walks and to so many beaches.

Or maybe she’s taken us?! Either way, caravanning is a win-win situation for dog owners and the canine members of the family!"

Chris tells us: “We’ve been to so many beautiful places, but our Top 5 would be: Cornwall; the Lake District; the New Forest; France (Camping du Letty, south of Brittany and Camping Des 4 Vents, near Paris) and Pembrokeshire in Wales.

“Sam really wants to go on an adventure up to the highlands of Scotland, whilst me and the Boys would love to do a big tour of Europe.

“This year we are visiting Edinburgh for the first time and are revisiting Vendee in France, as well as the west coast of Wales and plenty of local weekend getaways, so everyone’s happy!”
