Purpose of Role:

To work as part of our IT team assisting and supporting the business IT requirements and providing day to day maintenance of our IT systems and services.

Key Responsibilities:

• To provide support for relevant equipment, hardware, software and related information systems
• To assist with the installation and implementation of equipment, hardware, software, and related information systems
• To ensure that upgrades or implementation to equipment, hardware, software, related information systems and services are performed effectively and within agreed timescales
• To organise resources and ensure support activities and projects are kept on schedule
• To assist in the maintenance of procedures ensuring that all equipment, hardware, software and related information systems are properly controlled and registered
• To assist in the provision, maintenance and undertaking of contingency plans and backup procedures
• To deal with PC problems (desktop PC’s, laptops and printers) and resolve mainstream software issues
• To support user maintenance such as active directory, telephone systems, department moves etc.
• To provide support for production-based systems for CNC’s, Alphacam etc.
• To create security / profile configurations
• To liaise with all areas of the business assisting and providing advice and support to all users
• To undertake any necessary training, development, or research to ensure technical expertise remains current
• To participate in 5S, supporting continuous improvement
• To work in a safe manner by driving positive behaviour and leading by example with regards to the Company’s health and safety policies
• To carry out any other duties not listed above as may reasonably be expected

What are we looking for?

Essential:

• HNC qualified in a Computing discipline
• 5 GCSE’s Grade A-C/4-9 including Maths and English or equivalent
• Have experience of working in an IT related environment
• Have experience of all Windows operating systems
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Have excellent time management and prioritisation skills
• Have the ability to communicate at all levels
• Be a team player with the ability to build collaborative working relationships
• Have the ability to work without supervision, using own initiative
• Be flexible, reliable and adaptable

Desirable:

• Have experience of working within a manufacturing environment
• Have experience of using Lotus Domino/Notes
