About the role:

As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing sales of predominately Erwin Hymer Group brands in the UK and Ireland through effectively engaging, managing and developing our retail dealer network.

Key Responsibilities:

• Planning and prioritising your sales activities and customer contact towards achieving agreed business aims.
• Planning and managing your business portfolio/territory according to the agreed sales strategy.
• Building long-term relationships by understanding our customers’ business needs, identifying their expectations and negotiating mutual goals.
• Develop our dealer network within the UK and Ireland through the appointment of quality retailers to Erwin Hymer Group franchises within the guidelines set by the company.
• Train and develop our retail dealers and their personnel to ensure the highest possible standard of product knowledge for Erwin Hymer Group products through various methods including but not limited to, one to one training, organised training workshops and provided training/information material.
• Collate and submit sales data for territory analysis and take appropriate actions to ensure sales objectives are achieved.
• Feedback, through the retailer visit reporting system and other appropriate means, the voice of the retailers into the business ensuring that all relevant Erwin Hymer Group managers receive the information and where appropriate, make recommendations for or take corrective actions.
• Liaise with internal departments to review customer accounts (sales; delivery; PDI; aftersales; warranty; finance) and drive appropriate improvements.
• Integrate personal sales efforts with organised marketing activities, e.g. product launches, promotions, exhibitions, retailer shows.
• Respond to and follow up sales enquiries using appropriate methods.
• Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports.
• Play a full and active role in the management team of Erwin Hymer Group, working with other managers as appropriate to ensure that the agreed business aims are met.
• Negotiate customer service levels and trading terms.

What are we looking for?

• Full UK driving license
• Previous demonstratable experience in account management
• Sound working knowledge of sales and account management
• Experience of new business prospecting
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Competent in the use of Microsoft office
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
• Self-motivated with a high degree of creativity and initiative
• Self-starter with experience in a target and results driven environment
• Customer-focused
• Excellent attention to detail
• Flexible, reliable, and adaptable
• Can build up collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
