We are looking for Parts Pickers to work in our Machine Shop. The Parts Picker is responsible for collecting the cut parts from various processes within the machine shop. You will be a quality driven individual with attention to detail.

Previous experience is preferred but not necessary. Candidates must be available to work shifts as required.

Job Title: Parts Picker 

Department: Shop Floor (Machine Shop) 

Purpose of Role: 

Collecting the cut parts from various operations within the Machine Shop to be delivered to different departments for cabinet manufacture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manual handling of incoming and outgoing materials.
  • Inspection of incoming materials for quantity and damages.
  • Separation of cut parts into delivery trollies for production.
  • Following production schedules and working to deadlines.
  • Reading of drawings.
  • Completion of all picking requirements within required timescales.
  • Adhere to area work instructions, policies and procedures.
  • Participation in 5S, and other continuous improvement initiative
  • Any other reasonable duties as directed or required.

 

Person Specification - Parts Picker

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential:

Level 1 in Maths and English or equivalent

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE 

Essential:

Knowledge of IT software including Microsoft Office

Good numeracy skills

Desirable:

Experience of working in a production environment

SKILLS

Excellent attention to detail
Good communication skills
Adaptable and responsive to change
Good organisational skills
Ability to prioritise workload and work under pressure
Ability to work on own initiative but also in a team
