
Position: Multi-skilled Technicican (Electrical Bias) - MCLS-BVHJ5G
Number of Positions: 1
Main purpose of the job: Day to day and preventative electrical maintenance throughout the site.
Responsibilities:
Working within the maintenance department you will be involved in a wide range of tasks, including but not restricted to:-
- Electrical best practice for equipment & wiring installations.
- Machine maintenance
- Fault finding on machinery, vehicles and equipment
- Repairs and servicing of machinery and tools
- Installation of machinery and associated services
- Determining size & capacity of cables/wires for various pieces of equipment loads
- Factory moves and layout alterations
- Supervising/assisting external contractors where necessary
- Assisting Mechanical technicians where necessary
- Obtaining quotes (at least 2) for any electrical components spares & tools required to the task assigned to you. Oversee line electrician competency
- Sign off & test any in-house electrical installations
- Train Production Line vehicle testers in correct test procedures
- Mentor & train Maintenance Electrical/Technician apprentices
- Test portable appliances.
- Labouring and cleaning tasks a where ever you are working
- Use of mobile scissor lift units
- Use of Lock-Off procedures
- Fill in machine/equipment breakdown and service records
- Shift working required
Qualifications:
- Time served apprenticeship
- IEE 18th Edition City & Guilds 3282
- Inspection, Testing & Certification (Latest equivalent 2377-22 &/or 32
- PAT City & Guilds – 2377-01
- Preference given to those who have the following qualifications
- City and Guilds 2392-20 &/or 2392-30 & 3382-10
- (Latest equivalent 2394 & 2395)
Skills & Experiences:
- Competent in the use of computers
- PLC or logic experience preferable
- Variable speed drives experience preferable

- Good time keeping & attendance record
- Personal drive & motivation
- Good communication & organisational skills
Normal Working Hours:
Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs 08:00 to 17:00
Fri 08:00 to 13:00
The post holder would be required to work the hours recessary to fulful the requirements of the role.
Rate: Dependent upon skills and experience
