We are looking for Machine Operators to work in our Machine Shop. The Machine Shop is responsible for providing cut timber parts to production. As part of working in the Machine Shop, you play a vital role in the construction of the product.

The Machine Operator is responsible for cutting parts in line with required standards for assembly into cabinets, including CNC work, cross cuts, drilling and edge banding. You must be able to operate in a fast paced environment and have excellent attention to detail.

Previous experience is preferred but not necessary. Candidates must be available to work shifts as required.

Job Title: Machine Operator

Department: Shop Floor (Machine Shop) 

Purpose of Role: 

Preparation of all wood requirements necessary for the caravan and motorhome production

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all wood requirements for production are dealt with.
  • Includes cutting wood in line with required standards for assembly into cabinets, including CNC work, cross cuts, drilling and edge banding.
  • Following production schedules where necessary.
  • Adhere to area work instructions, policies and procedures.
  • Participation in 5S, and other continuous improvement initiative
  • Any other reasonable duties as directed or required.

 Person Specification - Machine Operator



Level 1 in Maths and English or equivalent


Forklift truck license



Previous experience in using wood working machinery
Knowledge of machinery software
Experience of using IT systems
Knowledge of working with CNC, Beamsaw, Crosscut, Router and Spindle machines


Experience of working in a fast paced production environment


Excellent attention to detail
Good communication skills
Adaptable and responsive to change
Good organisational skills
Ability to prioritise workload and work under pressure
Ability to work on own initiative but also in a team
