Account Manager - Improted Brands

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic Account Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing sales of predominately Erwin Hymer Group European brands in the UK and Ireland through the effective management and development of our retail dealer network.

Responsibilities

  • To plan and prioritise personal sales activities and customer contact towards achieving agreed business aims.
  • To plan and manage personal business portfolio/territory according to the agreed sales strategy.
  • To build long-term relationships by understanding our customers business needs, identifying their expectations and negotiating mutual goals.
  • To develop our dealer network within the UK and Ireland through the appointment of quality retailers to Erwin Hymer Group franchises within the guidelines set by the company.
  • To train and develop our retail dealers and their personnel to ensure the highest possible standard of product knowledge for Erwin Hymer Group products through various methods including but not limited to, one to one training, organised training workshops and provided training/information material.
  • To collate and submit sales data for their territory analysis and take appropriate actions to ensure sales objectives are achieved.
  • To give feedback, through the retailer visit reporting system and other appropriate means, the voice of the retailers into the business ensuring that all relevant Erwin Hymer Group managers receive the information and where appropriate, make recommendations for or take corrective actions.
  • To liaise with internal departments to review customer accounts (sales; delivery; PDI; aftersales; warranty; finance) and drive appropriate improvements.
  • To integrate personal sales efforts with organised marketing activities, e.g. product launches, promotions, exhibitions, retailer shows.
  • To respond to and follow up sales enquiries using appropriate methods.
  • To monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports.
  • To play a full and active role in the management team of Erwin Hymer Group working with other managers as appropriate to ensure that the agreed business aims are met.
  • To negotiate customer service levels and trading terms.

Qualifications required

  • Degree in relevant technical discipline preferred. (Business, Sales or Marketing).
  • Qualified to Level 1 or the equivalent in English & Maths.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Knowledge & Experience
  • Previous demonstrable account management experience
  • Have sound working knowledge of sales / account management
  • Have experience of new business prospecting – Cold Calling.

  • Have excellent negotiation skills.
  • Competent in Microsoft office
  • Possess excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated with a high degree of creativity and initiative
  • Self-starter with experience in a target and results driven environment
  • Be customer-focused
  • Have excellent attention to detail
