Downsized from a 2010 Avante 540 to this little beauty, although the bathroom is compact it’s usable. Can’t believe how much cupboard and drawer space is in this small van, no space is wasted. For a budget caravan it has exceeded my expectations for quality. If you want a budget two berth this is worth looking at.

First caravan I've had, specifically for off-site touring with my partner. Having viewed other makes/styles this rear kitchen layout with a separate shower fitted my requirements perfectly -- there is just something about a mid-kitchen and combined shower/toilet I don't like. The low weight and cost of the rig was a bonus!
The quality of build and finishing seems great, the bed surprisingly quick to make up, roomy and comfortable to sleep on. Whilst hanging space is limited there are plenty of lockers if folded clothing isn't a problem for you. The shower is a good size (I'm 6ft and 15st) and the spray plentiful and hot, lasting long enough for two of us to shower -- separately I hasten to add! The heating system works well, warming the caravan quickly and is quiet enough to sleep through too. We've added a full length air awning since (which I can also recommend) so now we have even more space to enjoy our trips away in.
Only draw back I'd overlooked was not having a specific area for a drinks cabinet. However, with a slight user modification I now have a fully equipped bar under the sideboard. The fridge freezer compartment is also large enough to hold a large bag of ice :-)
Overall I'm highly pleased with the caravan and for any couples looking to venture into caravanning I would certainly recommend the 422.
