Our friendship with Bonnie began over a year ago, when she got in touch via Twitter and Facebook.
She and husband Derek were beginning their search for their very first caravan. The heat was on. This had to tick all the boxes and then some. Bonnie had strict criteria and a vision of what their dream tourer would be.
You see, this caravan is a culmination of decades of hard work – and a celebration of the start of Retirement. Bonnie, Derek and Boxer dog, Scout, were about to hit the road and embark on the ultimate adventure.
After weeks and months of research, dealership visits and caravan shows, Bonnie told us: “It has to be Elddis … and we’ve found our ‘van!”

Bonnie and Derek had indeed been seduced by a Supreme 554, a special edition caravan, built by us for Preston Caravans and Motorhomes. The Supreme is built on our standard Elddis Avante base, with an exciting and practical array of added extras (including our new pet-friendly, snag-proof SafeFront upholstery with Aquaclean®). Bonnie and Derek were sold!

We finally got to meet them in person, when Bonnie and Derek came to The Caravan and Motorhome Show in October 2017. Having bought their new caravan they spent the day browsing accessories and chatting to suppliers like Whale, who manufacture their ‘van’s heating system.
The countdown to Handover Day seemed interminable for us all, but Bonnie was keen to schedule the big day to tie in with her Retirement, in keeping with the celebrations and plans for a complete lifestyle change.

After a seamless handover at Preston – where Bonnie says they were looked after like Royalty – their inaugural tow led them to Ream Hills campsite for a 3-night stay, all part of the Preston package!

Getting to know their new Elddis – and basking in the Bank Holiday sunshine – Bonnie happily Tweeted that this is, indeed, The Life. She is thrilled. Hubbie Derek is still celebrating his first successful tow … and Scout, well, she’s clearly made herself very much at home!
