Product Quality Manager

 

Main Purpose of the job

The main purpose of the Product Quality Manager role is to assure the quality and

timely delivery of finished products to achieve total customer satisfaction, ensuring consistent 100% right first time, on

time, delivery.

One of the key functions is to investigate and work in partnership with Retailers and EHG UK’s internal teams to

improve product quality performance. This involves agreeing the quality standards required with internal teams and

identifying root cause, corrective and preventative actions where necessary, to achieve them.

Other objectives include; to lead and support the team in the implementation of quality tools and techniques,

supporting managers and team leaders in their quality and continuous improvement activities.

Provide clear direction for product quality incorporating quality documentation and records. Conduct internal audits to

assist with the continual development of the current quality system registration to ISO 9001:2015.

Responsibilities:

Ensuring finished product is to the correct standard and ready for delivery

Identifying product quality improvements

Working closely with retailers and internal teams to verify quality performance

Working closely with Design and Production teams to implement improvements

Providing clear Quality communications

Creating and implementing standard operating procedures

Ensuring the latest skills and knowledge are kept up to date

Project management

Supporting managers and team leaders in their quality activities

Reporting on measures at regular intervals

Involvement in 5S & Continuous Improvement initiatives

Adhere to H&S Policy

Adhere to Company Handbook

Adhere to Quality Policy

Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures

Adhere to IT Policy

Involvement in training requests

Qualifications:           

Minimum level 5 mechanical or production engineering

Engineering apprenticeship desirable

Business improvement qualification desirable

Level 2 equivalent in English & Maths

Knowledge and Experience:

Essential:

· Quality management

· Quality control and quality assurance - relevant experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment

· Introduction, and on-going development of quality processes

· Experience of Structured Problem Solving

· Computer Literate- MS office (+ MRP/ERP software)

· Strong Leadership

· Full UK Driving Licence

Non-Essential

· FMEA (Failure Mode & Effect Analysis)

· Experience related to the leisure industry

· Knowledge of leisure vehicle design, construction, assembly processes and techniques

Normal Hours of work: 

Days : Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs Hours : 08:00 to 17:00

Fri 08:00 13:00

The post holder would be required to work the hours necessary to fulfil the requirements of the role.
